Analysis and Synthesis of Cascaded Cylindrical Metasurfaces Using a Wave Matrix Approach

Metasurfaces have been extensively investigated due to their ability tailor the amplitude, phase, and polarization of electromagnetic waves at subwavelength scales. However, most research has focused on planar metasurfaces. This limited applicability since curved geometries are required in numerous applications. In this article, wave propagation radial direction cascaded, cylindrical structures is studied. The intent develop a synthesis method that enables designers realize arbitrary scattering matrices with azimuthally invariant metasurfaces (subwavelength patterned metallic claddings) dielectric spacers. proposed exploits matrix formulation, which relates incident scattered fields one side scatterer those other side. It combines merits ABCD matrix.
